We wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate again the winners of our 2011 DJ competition at Bal Harbour! It was a great pleasure to give some new talent the opportunity to perform in front of a sophisticated D&B crowd in this beautiful pool location in San Teodoro, Italy.

Thank you for the great interest in the DJ competition and the huge number of fantastic mixes you have submitted over the past weeks. As every year it was again quite a tough job to only pick six finalists who will perform at Bal Harbour during the week. The lucky Top 6 and qualified for the live contest at SUNANDBASS are:

In true SUNANDBASS tradition, London will be hosting an intimate pre-festival reception for ticketholders and fans in general. To celebrate the entirety of the festival, we will be offering a Sardinian Aperitivo with a choice of cold and hot dishes prepared to order by one of the best Sardinian chefs in london. All accompanied by top Sardinian white and red. So join us right after Carnival for a bite to eat and a social boogie and take advantage to bring your queries about tickets, accommodation or anything else. Maps of the location will be available.

Let the games begin! We are now taking applications for the 2011 SUNANDBASS DJ competition. In association with mixcloud.com we are again seeking six lucky winners to perform LIVE during the week of SUNANDBASS and prove their creativity on the decks during a DJ battle. The contestants will be judged by an international high calibre jury and winners will walk away with great prizes!
In order to participate just record a mix of maximum 40 minutes length and upload to mixcloud.com. Add a tag SAB2011 to the mix and send the link to djcompetition@sunandbass.net. Feel free to chose whatever genre you feel most attracted to - this is not limited to Drum&Bass. Contest window will close on 15 August 2011! Please note that participants must be 18 years or older and be a SUNANDBASS ticket holder. Entrance to the event or any travel expenses are not included.

Check out these nice apartments located in Via Cala d'Ambra in San Teodoro and in short walking distance from all main venues. Hotel Al Faro:
If you have been to SUNANDBASS before you know Hotel Al Faro and the special vibe you can find at the Giacomo's and his crew's cosy little hotel in Via del Tirreno in San Teodoro. It is our official info desk during the week and you can usually meet half of the hotel's staff raving on the dance floor at Ambra Night being an integral part of the SUNANDBASS family! If you are looking for a clean and basic room in the center of the action and located perfectly just a few steps from La Cinta beach, this is the place to be! The hotel is exclusively inhabited by SUNANDBASS participants so be sure to meet a lot of familiar faces. Rooms are 50 Euro per night for a single room and 40 Euro per person and night for a double room. For inquiries please send an email with dates and requested room type to alfaro@sunandbass.net.

We will soon open up the contest again and ask you to submit your 40 minute mix. 6 lucky winners will be nominated to perform live on stage at Bal Harbour and will have a chance to win cool prizes. It was a true pleasure having all of you with us for the 2010 edition of
SUNANDBASS. What an amazing week we had again with eight smashing club nights in a row, an all new beach venue across Ambra Night and some amazing live sessions at Ambra Day. So much positive energy throughout the whole week with familiar and new faces to the SUNANDBASS family - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
As you may have noticed we had again a filming crew catching the vibe on tape. The guys are working on the post production and we will share the results as soon as finalized! For now please check the numerous picture galleries and YouTube clips of many of you sharing their personal experience. We will also upload some of the mixes recorded during the parties and share them on www.sunandbass.net. Make sure you sign up to the Newsletter and check the website for updates.
We would like to thank everybody who contributed to the success of SUNANDBASS! All the Crew working throughout the week, the DJs and MCs performing at various events and of course all of YOU who came out to San Teodoro once again to celebrate another week with us.
